The Phil Wayne "Elite" series guitars are his top line Custom Shop instruments. This guitar body is constructed of 3 layers gorgeous woods with a beveled bottom side. The top layer is three matched sections of ½" Birdseye Maple loaded with figure and a beautiful golden color. The center layer is 1" Swamp Ash with a chambered center which adds to the guitars outstanding acoustic properties. The ½" bottom layer has a Swamp Ash center piece flanked by Curly/Tiger Maple wings. The beveled contour on the bottom side of the body (bass side both top and back) makes it an extremely comfortable guitar to play. The guitar has a great tone and sustains into tomorrow…

The neck is a vintage maple neck (C-profile/12" radius) with a Birdseye headstock, gorgeous and extremely comfortable to play with very minimal fretwear. In addition to the feel, the coloring of this particular rosewood fretboard really picks up and highlights the darker Birdseye on the body beautifully. Sperzel Locking Tuners keep her in perfect tune.

The pickups are Gibson humbuckers with the "Patent Applied For" sticker on the back and steel braided wire. They sound amazing!

The bridge base is specially made of heavy duty chromed hardened stainless steel with matching steel saddles.

The 3 way selector switch is conventional, but the controls are CTS stacked concentric pots so you have separate Volume & Tone controls for each pickup which allow for a lot more tone variation.

This is not your conventional Tele! You may want to think of this instrument as the offspring between a Les Paul and Telecaster.
